Psychological Therapy Online

01.

Therapy may be mainly concerned with what is happening in your day-to-day life or about understanding the connections between the past and the present.  Whilst some therapies may be relatively brief, for example 6 -10 sessions, others may involve working together for longer than this.  Some therapies last around 20 sessions over a five-month period, whilst others are longer and may last up to a year.  How long you are seen for will be discussed early in the therapy. Available online or face to face.

Couples Therapy is for couples who want to resolve their difficulties, enhance their relationship, and rediscover the enjoyment they shared when they first met.

You may notice that it is becoming increasingly difficult to communicate in your relationship; perhaps you are unable to agree on anything and are always squabbling and arguing. Perhaps you are having difficulty trusting each other, or you just do not feel warm or connected in your relationship. Perhaps you have children and are concerned about the effect your relationship is having on them.

Couples Therapy with Helping Hands is a supportive and collaborative services designed to help you negotiate the challenges that might occur in partnerships. Couples Therapy usually last around 20 sessions over a five-month period, but can be longer depending on the Treatment  Plan. How long you are seen for will be discussed early in the therapy. Available online or face to face.
03.

Group therapy is a useful way for people who share a common problem to get support and advice from each other.  Groups usually consist of up to eight individuals along with a therapist.   Currently Coping Strategy groups focusing on how things are here and now are run.  Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic techniques are used to increase the individual's self-awareness whilst exploring ways of coping. Available online.
